• 2020 marks the 34^th running of the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races, HERMES Live provides professional event management, successfully holds a series of media events in 6 days across multiple locations despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Overcoming the geographical constraints under the pandemic, enabling quarantined jockeys who stayed in remote resorts upon arrival from overseas, trainers and media officials to attend the HKIR online in virtue of sharing insights on this special highlight of the year.
• With the innovative and professional holographic projection technology empowered by HERMES Live, interviews with the jockeys and trainers were conducted virtually to ensure the safety for all.

OVERVIEW

The LONGINES Hong Kong International Races (LONGINES HKIR) has always been a highlight of the international horseracing calendar. The event draws leading horses, jockeys, trainers and owners from around the globe to compete. Operating in unprecedented circumstances in the face of the pandemic, the Club's commitment to the well-being of all participants - jockeys, trainers, officials - led to a range of safeguards which ensured the safety of all. The Hong Kong Jockey Club has been lauded globally for its successful staging of the LONGINES HKIR leveraging the professional video solution provided by HERMES Live. The International Jockey’s Championship featured six riders from Britain and Europe, who were flown to Hong Kong and kept in isolation both in private accommodation and on the racecourse. Interviews with the jockeys and trainers were conducted via an innovative and professional hologram system provided by HERMES Live. It was an honour for us to provide one-stop video solution for ensuring the quality and smoothness of this eminent event.
