•The marquee evening auctions saw a record-breaking transactional value of US$363.2 million, with Francis Bacon’s triptych collection selling for more than US$84 million.

•The live stream of the auction reached millions across the globe through Sotheby’s website and US Cable TV channel Cheddar Inc.

•Sotheby reduced COVID-19 risk by conducting a socially distanced auction through innovative live video-streaming technology.

OVERVIEW

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, major auctions are currently being live-streamed for the first time. Building on past partnerships with TFI, which provided HERMES Live streaming services for Sotheby’s Spring Sales 2017 and Star Lot Unveiling Ceremony 2018, Sotheby again entrusted TFI with delivering live video-streaming solutions for its real-time auctions.
